Project 3 - Social Perception and Social Attunement: Non human primates

In the last 10 years, the growth of studies focused on the role of OT in facilitating prosocial behavior has been extraordinary. These studies have shown that OT has a wide range of effects on neural systems involved in regulating social behavior, including social perception and social reward.

This project will advance the scientific objectives of the Center by providing seminal data comparing the effects of central and peripheral OT on social perception, social reward, and social attunement in monkeys.
